Pursuant to Law No. 96\/2017, \u201cOn the Protection of National Minorities in the Republic of Albania,\u201d and Decision No. 286, dated 10.05.2019, of the Council of Ministers, \u201cOn the approval of the procedures for the selection of the Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, and members of the Committee for National Minorities,\u201d the call for applications is hereby announced for the selection and appointment of members of the Committee for National Minorities,\u00a0Bulgarian<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Aromanian<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The open public competition procedures are conducted by the Prime Minister\u2019s Office, based on point 4, Article 20, of Law No. 96\/2017, \u201cOn the Protection of National Minorities in the Republic of Albania.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The call for applications will be open for a 30-day period.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Candidates for members of the Committee for National Minorities must meet the following specific criteria.<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

    \n
      \n
    1. Must have knowledge of the language of the respective national minority (only for those national minorities that have their own language);<\/li>\n
    2. Must have work experience of no less than five (5) years in the field of protecting minority rights.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n

      <\/p>\n

      <\/p>\n

      The documents that must be submitted are as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
          \n
        • Request for application<\/li>\n
        • A document proving professional experience;<\/li>\n
        • A recommendation letter from at least one registered association in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 8788, dated 07.05.2001, \u201cOn Non-Profit Organizations,\u201d as amended, whose statute defines as its activity the protection and promotion of the rights of the respective national minority, according to the definition in point 2, Article 3, of Law No. 96\/2017, \u201cOn the Protection of National Minorities in the Republic of Albania.\u201d<\/li>\n
        • A copy of the identification card;<\/li>\n
        • A criminal record certificate;<\/li>\n
        • Curriculum vitae<\/em>\u00a0in Albanian (each page requires a signature)<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Notarized diploma certificates as well as documents proving experience in the required fields;<\/li>\n
        • A document proving proficiency in the language of the minority to be represented (only for those national minorities that have their own language).<\/li>\n
        • Candidates, individually: support, with recommendation, from at least five (5) individuals who are prominent figures with contributions to the respective national minority in the Republic of Albania;<\/li>\n
        • A self-declaration form (completed and signed), in accordance with Law No. 138\/2015, \u201cOn Guaranteeing the Integrity of Persons Elected, Appointed, or Exercising Public Functions,\u201d as amended;<\/li>\n
        • An application form (completed and signed) for informing officials prior to appointment\/election to high-ranking positions, in accordance with Law No. 45\/2015, \u201cOn the Right to Access Documents of the Former State Security of the People\u2019s Socialist Republic of Albania.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n
