The Committee for National Minorities is a central institution, with legal personality, under the authority of the Prime Minister, established by Law No. 96\/2017 'On the Protection of National Minorities in the Republic of Albania.' The Committee for National Minorities cooperates with central and local government bodies, as well as with legitimate organizations and associations that carry out activities for the exercise of the rights and freedoms of persons belonging to minorities.
