They have made positive contributions to the history of the last centuries in our country, especially during the National Renaissance and the Independence of Albania. The Aromanian national minority belongs to the Orthodox faith. A large part of the Aromanians have been fully assimilated, mostly becoming Albanian-speaking Orthodox believers. The sun with eight rays and borders on three sides with red, yellow, and blue cords is a clear symbol of this people\u2019s dedication to the sun as a source of life and warmth. This flag predates the flag with the Vergina star, which was only discovered at the end of the 1970s. Other flags of the Aromanians are those that have been used in their celebrations from pagan times up to the present day \u2014 white, yellow, red, and blue.<\/span><\/p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Flamuri me Diell” _builder_version=”4.24.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]

This symbol was the main one, brought out with ceremonies of song and music during the major Vlach celebrations, such as the Aromanian family wedding. The flag was adorned with flowers and three apples placed on the cross formed at the top of the flag. Apples are the fruit of love and eroticism, a symbolism originating from the interpretation of the creation of the world by Adam and Eve. The apple, the fruit of love, is a symbol also touched upon by the great Socrates.
